A French icon and the pride & joy of every French home, Ricard needed a refresh. The challenge was to retain the interest of the loyal consumers while attracting the younger generation. The new design and structure hinges on the distinctive shape of the cartouche logo which is at the core of the brand. Fresher colours, introduction of silver and split labels helped modernise it.

Giovanni Rizzi, a purveyor of authentic Italian espresso blends. The logo is modern and the two ʻZʼsʼ of Rizzi come together to form a coffee cup. The package design combines a single giant coffee bean with the logo embossed into it. The rich golden brown shades of coffee are contrasted with vibrant block colours to distinguish the unique blending recipes of the espresso range.
